The makers of the popular mod cRPG for Mount & Blade: Warband have finally released their new game on Steam Early Access: http://store.steampowered.com/app/430440/
It has a much more complex combat system, with practically 360º attack angles, unlike Warband's 4 directions, and the controls are a bit different. If you are used to Warband, it takes some time to adapt, but I think that for new players it's easier to learn.
If you want to play a Medieval pure action multiplayer game, without any fantasy, give it a try.

Yeah. I can't wait for that one either. I played the beta a long time ago and it was quite promising.
Re: Of Kings and Men
It would be nice.., but unfortunately it is not the dynamic level of AoC

Re: Of Kings and Men
It might not appear so because of the poor animations - game is still on Early Access stage - and slower movement (you cannot be sprinting and jumping around like in AoC, or have speedbuff), but it requires more reflexes and mouse control, instead of a lot of keybinds and timing, than AoC.
The point of these games are realistic Medieval action combat. If you want fantasy, magic or faster gameplay, sure, AoC is a lot better.
