Rome Total War 2

Hasnt been much news on this that I have found since the anouncement of it a few months back, however there are some ingame screenshots available now it seems..

The level of detail in these close ups looks fantastic :)

I have not played all the Total war games only Rome 1, Medi 2 and Empire, however Rome was always my favourite.

Ancient warfare just has so much more tactical options available when playing as the diffirent historic cultures. Its great fun to figure out the best tactics with the different armies. My fav cultures from the old game were the Greeks and the Parthians, 2 very differnt armies (one all cavalry based and one all mostly infantry based) that were fun to master.

What with this and ESO coming next year I am hoping for some great gaming time ahead :)

Seems we now have some Alpha ingame video around and a developing list of playable factions, nice

Personally I cant wait to change history and take over the world with the Macedonians and kick Romes butt!

Or maybe even do a better job than Hanibal and actually win the 2nd Punic War!

Love this Series and Rome Total war was always my fav cos of the variety of tactics you get with Ancient world armies.

Yeh looking fwd to also playing the Parthians again and kicking Rome's butt.

Full list of playabale civ's now available with lots of diff Greek options (Sparta!) which is cool.

I will be somewhat AFK when this comes out or rather AFC (away from conan)

Well tried them but I only ever really liked Rome and Medi ;)

Ancient warfare is the best though cos of the diff armie fighting styles and unit types ;)

Plus you have all those classic ancient battles to draw from like Cannae and Zama :)

On a side note why has no recent quality film or mini series been made about Hannibals life, epic battles and one of the best military tacticians of history.

Some one write a script please!

Nothing like it,EB was made by historian students everything is proper even the languages and the sounds of units, they also modelled every unit after archeological research so i never used any other mods or even the vanilla game since i started to play with it.

Any game or simulation is always a balance between realism and fun, this one hit the mark for me

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rome:_Total_Realism

Also we all only have so much game time cant play every single game and every single mod ;)

It does look interesting and has good reviews but I will be waiting for Rome 2 now ;)
