What do you play when Aoc is down?

I recently discovered that some people made a new version of an old play-by-email game, VGA Planes. The game now is called VGA Planets Nu, and the website is http://planets.nu
It's no more play-by-email, since it's all online, but it's still turn-based.

I contacted some of my friends that used to play this game with me, but we are only 3, so we need at least a 4th player.

What to say, not everyones cup of tea I think. But if you like unrealistic ultra violent fightning games with fatalities that makes AoC looks like Hello Kitty, You will love it.

Mount & Blade: Warband. A simple game made by a couple of Turks in 2010 (following the original Mount & Blade which was only singleplayer) and that is loads of fun.

It has the best combat system for a medieval game in my opinion, and you realise more the better you get at the game.

I play the online mod cRPG, where you level up and buy and enhance gear as you play (contrary to the normal CS-like multiplayer of the Native module).
